In most fast-service restaurants, employees drive through service windows or through standard doors to serve customers. Now, TORMAX, the global leader in automatic sliding door systems, has created an innovative new automatic hybrid system that combines service windows and full-size doors to provide maximum flexibility and efficiency for roadside and drive-through restaurant services.

The new TORMAX service sliding door system is designed for drive-through restaurants and shops. At slower times, the door can be configured as a service window used by standard drives. During peak hours, the system can act as an automatic door, allowing employees to quickly and efficiently enter and exit the restaurant, and directly use the car to deliver food to customers.

"This is a brand new concept that allows drive-through restaurants and businesses to flexibly use these systems as service windows, or as a complete automatic sliding door that allows employees to quickly enter and exit the building to provide food customers," TORMAX National Customers Manager Clint Butts said. "Advantages include increased productivity and increased efficiency in serving customers."

The new TORMAX system has been tested in drive-through restaurants, coffee shops and grocery stores across the country, and has a good track record of increasing productivity and increasing revenue. These multifunctional automatic door systems are ideal for payment areas as well as food preparation and delivery areas. Many [Quick Service Restaurants] customers are installing two doors for payment and delivery areas.

"Our customers analyzed the traffic flow during peak service hours and found that even small bottlenecks in the customer service area can have a significant impact on revenue," Mr. Bartz said. "These multifunctional new automatic service sliding door systems allow restaurant managers to maximize productivity and efficiency, serve more customers per hour, and quickly recover costs."

During periods of low traffic, the door panels can be kept closed and locked, and only the service window is active, acting as a drive-through window for collecting payments and transferring food to customers. During peak hours, the entire door panel is electrically opened and closed, allowing employees to pass through the door to provide services to customers in the car. These easy-to-use doors allow employees to carry more food and deliver more orders at once, instead of fumbling for door handles with all their hands. They also allow for more personalized customer communication, thereby enhancing customer service.

The operation of Service-Slider is controlled by the internal Knowing-Act device (such as non-contact push plate), and the external has access control activation options.

The TORMAX service sliding door system provides three product lines and five models, and the size of all units can meet the specific needs of each enterprise. Options include:

• Split service sliding door: The automatic two-part sliding door panel is divided into an upper part and a lower part. Employees can only set the upper panel to open, create a service window, or open the upper and lower panels to visit the service.

• Half-panel service sliding door: Automatic two-part sliding door with manual outer door panel closes counters that form food trays, etc. The service window panel is installed externally. This configuration brings the server closer to the drive-through the client. A hurricane impact rating model is also provided.

• "C" Panel Maintenance Sliding Door: Automatic two-part sliding door with manual external maintenance window panel. The enlarged "C" panel design reduces the opening height and width of the service window to achieve maximum energy efficiency. A hurricane impact rating model is also provided.

Since 1951, as a global leader in automatic door systems, the electric door system developed by TORMAX has a powerful motor that can work quickly and efficiently to increase productivity, better access control, and environmental isolation.
